A letter to Rose and Kresimir…

To my now-husband, Kresimir, I can't believe this day has finally come—one that we have talked about for so long. I knew after our first couple of dates that this was the man I was going to marry. Your heart knows when it's found its home. Thank you for making me feel loved and cherished every day. You always go above and beyond to make me happy and put me first. I can't wait to start our life together and to start a family of our own one day.

Not everyone gets to say that they have the most cool, thoughtful, and loving sister in the world, but Rose, I'm so happy that you can say that. Jokes aside, I've always thought of you as a cool older sister. Our trip to Croatia in 2019 is one of my favourite memories. That summer, I really felt like we went from being sisters to being best friends. You are one of the most important people in my life, and I'm so grateful for you. I love you so much. Rose and Kresimir, I hope your marriage is filled with as much happiness and love as today is.

I've been friends with Kresimir for fourteen long years. We started off being really good friends in high school, going to Croatian events like tournaments and festivals together, always making sure that we were involved in each other's plans in some way or another. I also remember the first time he brought up Rose, as well as the speed at which he pulled out his phone to pull up her Instagram to prove that she was, in fact, a real person. Rose, you've helped Kresimir become who he is today. I've been lucky enough to experience the two of you grow and fall in love together, and Rose, I mean this honestly—I couldn't have asked for a better person to surpass me as Kresimir's best friend. To Rose and Kresimir, may you guys have a lifetime of love, happiness, and memories!

To Rose, my wife, I cannot believe that today is finally here, and I want to thank you for all the memories and the fun times we've had. I knew I wanted to marry you after our first date, and I'm just so sorry it took us five years to finally do it.
