A letter to Saba and Hassaan…

To my husband, Hassaan, today, on our wedding day, I feel so lucky to be standing beside you as your wife. You have shown me what true love and commitment looks like, and I promise to cherish and honour you for the rest of my life. So to my amazing husband, thank you for being my everything. I love you more than words can express, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

Few people know me as well as Saba does, and it's truly a privilege to share this moment with her and all of you. Saba has always had a knack for bringing laughter into any room she enters. Whether she realizes it or not, her infectious laughter has a way of lighting up our lives. But amidst all the laughter and adventures, Saba has been a constant source of support and joy in my life. Your sincerity, loyalty, and unwavering support make you one of a kind.

We thank Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and praise Him for gathering us here on this blessed day of a sacred union between Saba and Hassaan. The husband and wife are there to find solace and tranquility in one another, and Allah, God Almighty, has created, between the husband and wife,a special love, a special bond of love and a special bond of mercy. Now that Hassaan and Saba are getting married, help each other on the path of faith, help one another to do good actions, help one another and encourage one another. We ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to put blessings in this marriage, for indeed, it is He, God Almighty, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, who blesses these unions, who has chosen you for one another. If Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, has chosen you for one another, then we know that there is some goodness in this, there is some [Arabic] in this through His wisdom.

Saba, the daughter of Muhammad Yasin, do you accept Hassaan?

Do you take Saba, the daughter of Muhammad Yassin, as your lawful wife in Islam in the presence of these witnesses and all these respected people here?

Do you accept him as your husband in Islam? "I do."

Do you take her as your lawful wife? "I do."

Officially, you are married, masha'Allah.

Today marks a truly special occasion. My heart is overwhelmed with joy and nostalgia as I witness your Nikah and union today. Hassaan and Saba, as you head into this new stage of life, never put anyone above your partner’s needs. Believe the best of intent for each other, and I cannot wait to learn from you as you create an entirely unique bond and light together.

I think most people already know Saba as a social butterfly with her dramatic tendencies, strong willpower, and someone that people flock to and gravitate towards naturally. As a younger sister, I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better older sister in my life. As a younger sister, I used to think my sister was the coolest teen, so I can admit that half of my personality is probably inspired by Saba. As I got to see them together and gone to [arabic], I realized how well they complement one another. Inshallah, you will both have a very happy and blessed marriage.

If you know Hassaan, you know he’s a successful entrepreneur and he gives 100% to everything he puts his mind to. He’s also extremely loyal, and I know I can count on him at any time. Hassaan, you're like a brother to me, and I’m so proud of the man you've become. Needless to say, Saba, he's a catch, and when you see his signature dance moves come out, you’ll be convinced.

Hassaan, you cannot take my sister home until you pay us up! Before we give you this amazing drink—no money, no honey!

Now as she starts this new chapter with Hassaan, I can’t help but feel a bit sad. Our home won’t be the same without her. It’s like losing your favourite cozy blanket—you know life will go on, but it just won’t be as warm and comforting. And the love between Saba and Hassaan is something else; they’re like two peas in a pod, always there for each other through thick and thin. So as they take this leap together, let’s raise a glass and toast to their happiness.

Thank you for loving me unconditionally, always supporting me, and being my constant source of joy and laughter. I am so excited to share this new chapter of our lives together, and I know that anything is possible with you by my side.
